New York, Bangalore and New Delhi, October 10th, 2011 – HfS Research, the leading advisory analyst firm for global outsourcing and shared services strategies, has expanded its global analyst base with two additional hires. Veteran industry expert James R. Slaby joins to cover Sourcing Security and Risk Strategies and Reetika Joshi for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Analytics coverage.
James R. Slaby, based in Boston, Massachusetts, has joined as Research Director. A 15-year veteran of the high-tech research and infrastructure security industry, Slaby has held senior research analyst positions at Forrester Research and Yankee Group, in addition to management roles with Sonus Networks, Acme Packet, Bay Networks and Motorola. At HfS, his research will focus on the IT security and risk issues that buyers must consider when evaluating sourcing options and service provider partnerships.
Commenting on his appointment, Slaby stated, “Buyers continue to cite IT security and risk issues among their top concerns as they approach sourcing engagements. With the talent on its research team and a huge subscriber base actively engaged at the front lines of this issue, HfS Research is uniquely positioned to help sourcing buyers, providers, and infrastructure vendors to better understand, quantify, and mitigate those risks. I can think of few more important or fascinating challenges than identifying the most effective technical, operational and contractual approaches to this problem set. So I’m thrilled to be joining the HfS Research team, excited by the opportunity it presents to apply my background in security and networking to tackling these crucial issues.”
Reetika Joshi, based in Pune India, also joins the global research team as Principal Analyst, Business Process Outsourcing and Analytics Services. She has spent the last three years working with the sourcing research wing of business research and consulting firm ValueNotes, undertaking numerous research assignments across the outsourcing spectrum, including market studies in niche BPO areas such as offshore analytics, banking, insurance and retail BPO services.
“HfS Research brings a practical, powerful voice and approach to the sourcing industry,” stated Joshi. “I believe that analytics is a driving force of value creation for the industry. The theme is highly relevant; a zeitgeist of the burning issues and opportunities facing the industry today. I am excited to join this firm, which is revolutionizing the way sourcing research is created, distributed and debated.”
Commenting in the new analyst additions, Tony Filippone, HfS Research’s Senior Vice President for Research added, “The industry is facing a critical moment. Clients rely on service providers to maintain security and privacy of their customer data, but struggle to systematically and effectively manage third party relationships. In addition, cost reductions aren’t enough to achieve today’s corporate agenda. Clients need to leverage quantitative insights to improve efficiencies and customer loyalty. Jim and Reetika’s contributions will provide invaluable insight to our clients.”
