Observations from the Hexaware AI analyst day in Chennai earlier this week:
– Hexaware choice of the word “Zero” as core to the AI messaging and portfolio offerings under Zero Friction Enterprise is very relevant and impactful in a market looking to simplify AI and getting rid of the debts across data, technology, process, and talent
– The enterprise landscape is marred by the sprawl of SaaS applications that they have no control over and in many cases want to get rid of. The proposition of Zero license is really bold and much needed here where enterprises build AI-native solutions they can control.
– Views around autonomous ITOps and AI in SDLC sound pragmatic with emphasis on deterministic solutions and context engineering so that the tokeneconomics of the solutions don’t overcome the impact of the solutions
– Overall, Hexaware’s strategy of taking integrated capabilities to market with an asset-based Services-as-software position on Zerovity platform seems credible
– However, execution trumps strategy. In a market with aggressive competition not only from IT service providers but also hyperscalers, SaaS vendors, and frontier model companies looking to become the AI execution partner of choice, Hexaware has an uphill task.
