Senior Advisor
Chris Barney is a Senior Advisor at HFS Research, specializing in growth strategies, global business services, dealmaking and outsourcing. He has deep expertise in many verticals, serving global clients in professional services over three decades. His experience blends traditional business, a dozen years of IT and process-led business transformation consulting, and over a decade of sales leadership with global outsourcing firms.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with EY in London, he spent eight years at PwC leading transformation initiatives across Europe and the Middle East, before turning his focus to clients’ GBS agendas at ISG. He then spent 10 years in sales leadership roles with Genpact, helping build and refine the approach to sales across the business. He followed this with a "big deals" role at Capgemini.
Chris is based in the UK alongside his wife, two teenage children, a dog and a cat. In his spare time, he enjoys most sports, including trying to increase his sailing experience, getting a bit better at golf, and making more of his MCC membership in watching cricket at Lords.
