In this PoV, we examine "design thinking" and its applicability to telecom operations services utilizing a number of examples that emerged as HfS conducted research for the upcoming Telecom Operations Services Blueprint.
"Design thinking" is not a new concept, but today service providers are seeing its potential applicability to BPO and operations. The reason for the recent interest in "design thinking" is simple. As process improvements using traditional approaches such as Six Sigma are out of steam and now "design thinking" can be a new source of innovation and value addition.
