GBS Adoption Remains a Priority, but There Are Barriers to Success

The vast majority of medium and large enterprises have aspirations of implementing a mature GBS group within the next two years. Those who have succeeded have reported significant benefits. However, the same enterprises that aspire to implement GBS have very low expectations that they will be able to pull it off in the two-year window. HfS, in conjunction with KPMG, conducted a study in Q4 2014 that identified the top challenges these organizations face. This paper reveals those challenges, discusses what type of issues each causes, and provides practical recommendations to overcome these impediments.
