Many enterprises are trying to transform their business service functions but don’t have the needed governance capability and maturity to succeed. This lack of maturity might come in the form of a shortage of adequately skilled staff, an inconsistent approach to governance across groups, or inadequate analytical tools to optimize service delivery.
Since governance is becoming more and more important to accomplishing the strategic objectives of shared services and outsourcing initiatives, HfS completed a Blueprint study to better understand the kind of governance assistance enterprises need and then evaluate the top players providing governance solutions. To be clear, this is not an evaluation of sourcing advisory firms. It is an assessment of firms providing either managed governance services or software applications in the support of steady-state governance of service delivery environments.
