Every enterprise is building agentic AI pilots. Yet, very few have been able to transition their AI activities into agentic AI business operations. What has been missing is an understanding of how AI and data-first services are transforming every company’s operating model, the role of its leadership and technology and services partners, and what practical actions are needed to deliver gains at scale and that are durable.

On September 30, HFS Research will reveal findings from The Agentic Enterprise, a new global study of senior business and technology leaders at enterprises with more than $1 billion in revenue. In a closed-door working session with IBM, Microsoft, and your peers, we’ll explore where senior IT and business executives are succeeding, where they aspire to go next, and how these ambitions connect to the changing software and services landscape their businesses rely on. We’ll also discuss what must change to build the future operating model of the Agentic Enterprise.

Three questions we will answer with data, not anecdotes:

  1. Where does the pilot-to-production divide sit? HFS will provide fresh benchmarks on how many agentic pilots enterprises are running by function (finance, operations, customer experience, software development, supply chain) and what percentage survive contact with live operations. You will be able to see exactly where your organization stands against peers, and which readiness gaps (data grounding, process redesign, core application integration, leadership alignment) most reliably kill scale.
  2. What do the new AI economics mean for your Microsoft (and broader vendor) relationship? The shift from per-user licensing to consumption instruments (credits, committed cloud spend, provisioned capacity, seat-plus-meter hybrids) changes how you budget, negotiate, and govern AI. We will share how peers are managing token consumption costs today: spend quotas, cost attribution, FinOps tooling, and chargeback – and where runaway agent costs are already showing up.
  3. When do you need a partner, and how do you pick one? The study maps the capability cliff: what enterprises can deliver in-house, including strategy, pilots, integration, scaled operations, support, and where external help becomes unavoidable. We will share the selection criteria leaders now weight most heavily, from legacy integration track record to process redesign depth and governance frameworks, so you can pressure-test your own shortlist.

          What you will leave with:

          • A peer benchmark of your agentic AI maturity, autonomy posture, and production conversion rate.
          • A practical framework for deciding where humans stay in the loop, at the helm, or on the loop — by decision impact.
          • A buyer’s checklist for consumption-based AI commercial models and platform dependency exposure.
          • Concrete partner-selection criteria for the software and services decisions ahead of you.

                Who should attend:

CIOs, CTOs, CAIOs, and senior business leaders accountable for AI-led transformation at large enterprises. Seats are limited to preserve candid, off-the-record discussion.
