We tracked 82 new moves announced this quarter. 34 Services providers reported they were building or expanding new centers and shutting down two; 42 global in-house centers (GICs) reported they were building or expanding, one was downsizing, and five were shutting down. There were many dynamics at play during this quarter – The US had far more greater activity than India. Most of slowdown and shutdown was in the UK and Ireland, while Philippines witnessed its own share of slowdown too. HfS Research believes that the location decisions are influenced by changing business and political priorities along with emerging fundamentals of OneOffice™.
