UST has made big commitments to become only the third services firm named to Global Premier status in the Claude Partner Network with Anthropic – Tata Consultancy Services and DXC Technology the others so far. What makes UST’s inclusion notable is proportionality: TCS has ~600k people, UST ~35k, so a 20,000-person training commitment is by far the deepest relative bet of the three. Anthropic’s tier requirements don’t flex for size (1,000+ active certified practitioners, 100+ production customers across 3+ regions, 15+ public references, verified quarterly).
Anthropic – like its rivals – has already identified that frontier models don’t deploy themselves. Its $100m Claude Partner Network, and June’s Services Track, formalize what its biggest deals already showed: Deloitte (470k people), Cognizant (~350k), KPMG (276k), Accenture, Infosys, PwC. The services firms aren’t just the channel; they’re also customer zero.
OpenAI has its $150m partner network, 300k certified consultants targeted by year-end, Frontier Alliances with McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Accenture, and Capgemini. Google Cloud: a $750m fund and its own engineers embedded inside seven global SIs. Microsoft: Frontier badges across its partner base. The model wars have become channel wars.
The UST partnership and the tier recognition more broadly, is worthy of enterprise attention. It is based on evidence of deployment at scale. ‘Global Premier’ requires 1,000+ active certified practitioners, 100+ joint customers live in production across three regions, 15+ public customer references. These are verified quarterly, and visible to buyers in the Partner Hub. That’s procurement-grade evidence beyond the press-release. Not just a logo on a powerpoint slide.
That a 35k person organisation has made the cut speaks to commitment and focus on what is currently the best model set in town. (Four of five of the highest performing LLMs against a basket of benchmarks are currently from the Anthropic stable – though that status is pre OpenAI 5.6, released to the likes of you and I, yesterday.
When every SI claims certification on every model, differentiation shifts to who has actually taken clients live. This tier structure makes that visible. Anthropic‘s October’s review is when we see who else clears the bar.
