The fastest 5: providers with the highest YoY Q220 growth

• Q2 2020 saw a shift in providers we include in the fastest five; Capgemini and NTT Data emerged, and WNS and HCL dropped off the list. Until now, the list had not changed since 2019.
• AWS remained in first, posting impressive growth but falling below 30% YoY for the first time in over half a decade.
• Coforge (formerly NIIT Technologies) and Genpact remained in the third and fourth positions, which is particularly impressive for Genpact, given COVID-19’s impact on BPO.
• While all of the fastest five have previously posted double-digit growth, the average growth rate has significantly dropped thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak, and only AWS and Capgemini continue to post comfortable double-digit growth.
• It’s worth noting that Capgemini’s Altran integration significantly boosted its growth.

HFS Bottomline: This quarter is when we finally got to see the pandemic’s real impact. The COVID-19 outbreak took hold midway through Q1 2020, with many providers posting revenue declines between 0.0% YoY and -6.0% YoY. Only three providers continued to post double-digit growth: AWS (29.0% YoY), Capgemini (13.1% YoY), and former NIIT Technologies, now Coforge (10.1% YoY).
