The IT services market continues to experience extremely challenging market conditions. Enterprises are struggling to find answers to the “digital dichotomy” of balancing macroeconomic headwinds with the big hurry to innovate. In 2023–24, growth for most IT service providers nose-dived to low single digits due to heightened scrutiny on discretionary spending and a laser-like focus on return on investment (ROI) for transformation. Enterprises are also looking for new avenues for value creation by investing in AI and other emerging technologies.
In light of these circumstances, NTT DATA is taking decisive steps to reinvent its global operations. By integrating all the services capabilities of NTT Group outside Japan, under the umbrella of NTT DATA, Inc., and bringing together technology capabilities from across its different organizations, the company is positioning itself for significant growth. Launched in the second quarter of 2024, the reimagined NTT DATA is generating $30 billion in revenue globally, with $18 billion generated outside Japan. This transformation solidifies its status as one of the world’s largest IT service providers.
