Underneath the covers, BPO is mostly comprised of a series of common repeatable elements. Each BPO solution whether horizontal or vertical in its process orientation assembles these pieces in the same way that a movie writer assembles a comedy movie from a set of basic, common repeatable plot elements. The only problem is that new solutions such as business platforms and robotic process automation are changing those repeatable elements in BPO and the future version of BPO created in this emerging "as-a-service economy" is likely to be very different as a result.
