HfS sat down with Dr. Adrian Zai to get a take on population health management from someone who has been integral to shaping the direction for Partners HealthCare System.
As Clinical Director of Population Informatics at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Laboratory of Computer Science, Dr. Zai is focused on applying informatics to enable team-based care and patient-centered management.
While his work has been focused on enabling the hospital to recenter its care on the patient as an individual, he acknowledged the key roles of the patient and of the payer to complete the triangle of patient centric care.
He is the also the inventor of TopCare, an information technology platform based on his research and health care practice, and deployed in collaboration with SRGTechnology in the Partners HealthCare System.
