At its recent analyst event in Frankfurt Wipro’s CEO TK Kurien set out to change the perception of the service provider by emphasizing its progress with artificial intelligence and machine learning. The corner stone of the messaging was the unveiling of Wipro’s Holmes artificial intelligence platform. This shift in emphasis was embedded into the broader narrative of how Wipro plans to advance to become transformational partner for its clients by guiding them into the “World of Tomorrow.” This new world is referenced by doing business digitally, Open Source, Internet of Things as well as inline data and artificial intelligence tools. Refreshingly, this was not condensed to an intangible and broad notion of digital transformation as with so many of its peers.
