If you’re new to the concept of process mining, I suggest you have a quick read of the informative 101 style introduction already on the HFS website, but if it’s something you’re familiar with you’re probably already wondering how you can leverage it in your business. If that’s the case, one recent announcement worth taking note of is Infosys’ new partnership with process mining unicorn Celonis, a firm who’s recently completed $290 million Series C round takes its value to $2.5 billion. For Infosys clients looking towards SAP S/4HANA migration, this relationship presents a great opportunity to achieve maximum transparency in current processes to identify pain-points and drive new efficiencies throughout the modernization process.
The partnership will allow Infosys clients to leverage Celonis’ process mining expertise to aid their digital transformation efforts.
In the modern world running on legacy technology simply isn’t viable; demand shifts so fast enterprise must be able to adapt, and this often includes leveraging SaaS platforms, but it’s impossible to do so when shackled by inefficient core infrastructure. This is one of many reasons executive’s gaze is set on ERP modernization, and specifically SAP S/4HANA; but they must understand that it’s not as simple as upgrading the software on an iPhone, the crowded technology landscape of many enterprises means it must begin with a well-thought-out roadmap, involving detailed analysis of the firm’s entire business and its processes. This is where Celonis’ process mining can lend a hand, effortlessly providing the required insight in an instant by integrating with existing ERP systems and monitoring the likes of keystrokes and screen activity, while also leveraging AI to gain insight from business data; giving the enterprise a complete picture.
Celonis unicorn status validates the firm’s offering, and that combined with Infosys experience with SAP S/4HANA means Infosys clients will get serious bang for their buck.
Earlier this year SAP extended its innovation commitment for SAP S/4HANA so enterprise must ensure they are at least beginning their migration journey. A glance at Infosys’ website proves they already boast the experience needed to support any enterprise; over 250 successful S/4HANA projects, over 11,000 SAP HANA consultants, and the firm’s own solutions such as Infosys Catalyst for SAP S4/HANA, a full suite of pre-packaged industry solutions. Contributing to Infosys’ credibility further is its partnership with SAP, with whom it as an SAP Global Strategic Services Partner. Infosys has even recently announced a new strategic program with SAP, Innov8, to drive innovation and digital transformation for clients.
Infosys wealth of expertise in ERP modernization makes its recently announced partnership with Celonis particularly interesting, as it contributes to already impressive offerings for ERP modernization, and specifically SAP S/4HANA. Infosys clients will be able to leverage its own experience alongside Celonis process mining expertise, which is tried and tested by the likes of Uber, Vodafone and Siemens, to gained valuable insight into entire enterprise processes, and streamline their migration to SAP S/4HANA as well as increasing the opportunity to leverage SaaS platforms. It’s also worth noting that Infosys already has some experience in the space, as in January 2019 EdgeVerve Systems, an Infosys company, announced AssistEdge Discover, which hoped to increase automation success through process discovery.
Bottom Line: Existing client or not, if you’re seeking process excellence as a part of your migration to SAP S/4HANA then this partnership makes Infosys a companion worth contemplating.
The uncertainty in the world right now means that no enterprise can afford to be shackled by legacy technology and inefficient processes, which is why SAP S/4HANA migration has become a necessity if you want to properly leverage the cloud and SaaS products which come with it. The latest partnership between Infosys and Celonis is worth taking into consideration if you’re looking for a partner to guide you through the migration journey, as it allows Infosys clients to leverage the provider’s experience alongside innovator Celonis’ technical expertise and process mining capabilities.
