Dell has finally made its long-awaited big market move, after its 2009 acquisition of Perot, surprising the industry with the second largest technology acquisition of all time by acquiring EMC for around $67 billion, in a combined cash and stock deal. Dell now becomes the sixth-largest player in the global IT services industry, but the question remains whether this is too much too late, or a timely ingestion of size and scale?
